About Rev. James H. Walker, Jr.
After pursuing a career as a professional musician, James had an opportunity to become involved in “Music Ministry.” James played drums and bass for several churches in New York and North Carolina before advancing to Music Director at a rather large church in New York.
In 2010, James and his new wife Susan moved to North Carolina and bought a house on a street called “His Way.” Shortly after, James and Susan founded His Way Ministry. The original purpose of their ministry was to minister to the elderly by singing in nursing homes and senior facilities.
In 2012, James was ordained as a minister of the Gospel. After much prayer, James was directed not to preach but to continue their ministry outside the “brick and mortar.” It occurred to James that officiating weddings would be the ideal mission to pursue.
James and his wife dove into this pursuit wholeheartedly and began to officiate weddings–a ministry that is still active to this day! Since many Christians these days are without a “home church,” there has been a formidable demand for non-denominational ministers to officiate weddings.
